Over the Easter weekend, CICSA (Canadian Intercollegiate Sailing Association), held its first ever spring 420 event, wrapping up the 2022/23 calendar in style.
420s in Kingston in April? As it turned out, the weather was balmy and the winds excellent and the sailing highly competitive.
After this final regatta, CICSA’s with 25 teams participating over the year, the final results were:
Last time, I started a discussion of mark-room at a gybe mark. I presented some fairly common scenarios that appear when two boats approach a gybe mark and round together. I am going to continue that discussion this month with some slightly more complicated situations.

Serious racing, serious fun. Short for Lake of the Woods International Sailing Association, the LOWISA 57 Regatta is taking place this year from August 5 – August 12, 2023.
